With over 24 years of experience in the insurance industry, Delyan Iliev has spent more than 13 of those years specializing in renewable energy. As the Managing Director of Renewable Energy Insurance Broker (REIB), he is a pivotal figure in renewable energy insurance, shaping the industry both in Bulgaria and internationally.
Before establishing REIB, Delyan honed his expertise as a Business Development Manager at a leading international insurance broker. His deep commitment to the renewable energy sector is evident in his role as a co-founder of the Bulgarian Association for Production, Storage, and Trade of Electricity (APSTE). Through this organization, he actively contributes to the growth and innovation of the energy market.
Delyan’s impact extends beyond Bulgaria. As a member of Solar Power Europe and the Polish Photovoltaic Association, he supports the development of the European solar industry. Additionally, his efforts have facilitated the growth of numerous solar projects for start-up companies in Bulgaria, reinforcing his dedication to fostering sustainable energy solutions.
