On June 30, SolarPower Europe officially launched the Battery Storage Europe Platform, a major new initiative that brings together key industry players to accelerate the deployment of battery storage across the continent. The Platform’s mission is bold but necessary: to push for a tenfold increase in battery storage capacity by 2030, enabling grid stability, securing the growth of renewables, and ensuring Europe’s energy resilience. It was launched with the backing of founding strategic partners REIB, Statkraft, and Sunotec, alongside over 50 other organizations shaping the sector.
